ܦܘܠܘܣ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܝܢܢ ܘܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܣܒܪܢ
sbrn yshwe wdmshykh' mkhynn d'lh' bpwqdn' mshykh' dyshwe shlykh' pwlws
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ our hope;

ܠܛܝܡܬܐܘܣ ܒܪܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܪܚܡܐ ܘܫܠܡܐ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܘܢ ܘܡܫܝܚܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܪܢ
mrn yshwe wmshykh' 'bwn 'lh' mn wshlm' wrkhm' Tybwth' bhymnwth' shryr' br' lTymth'ws
to Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

ܒܥܝܬ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܢܟ ܟܕ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܐ ܠܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ ܕܬܩܘܐ ܒܐܦܣܘܣ ܘܬܦܩܕ ܠܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܕܠܐ ܢܠܦܘܢ ܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܡܫܚܠܦܐ
mshkhlp' ywlpn' nlpwn dl' 'nsh l'nsh wthpqd b'psws dthqw' lmqdwny' 'n' 'zl kd mnk hwyth beyth
As I urged you when I was going into Macedonia, stay at Ephesus that you might command certain men not to teach a different doctrine,

ܘܠܐ ܢܬܪܡܘܢ ܠܫܘܥܝܬܐ ܘܠܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܕܫܪܒܬܐ ܕܣܟܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܚܪܝܢܐ ܗܘ ܥܒܕܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܒܢܝܢܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ
d'lh' bhymnwth' bnyn' wl' ythyr'yth ebdn hw dkhryn' hlyn lhwn lyth dsk' dshrbth' wlthsheyth' lshweyth' nthrmwn wl'
and not to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause disputes, rather than God’s stewardship, which is in faith—

ܣܟܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܚܘܒܐ ܕܡܢ ܠܒܐ ܕܟܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܬܐܪܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܫܪܝܪܬܐ
shryrth' hymnwth' wmn Tbth' th'rth' wmn dky' lb' dmn khwb' 'ythwhy dpwqdn' dyn skh
but the goal of this command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith;

ܘܡܢܗܝܢ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܛܥܘ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܣܛܘ ܠܡܠܐ ܣܪܝܩܬܐ

from which things some, having missed the mark, have turned away to vain talking;

ܒܕܒܥܘ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܟܕ ܠܐ ܡܣܬܟܠܝܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܡܠܠܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܥܠܘܗܝ ܡܬܚܪܝܢ
mthkhryn delwhy mdm wl' dmmllyn mdm msthklyn l' kd dnmws' mlpn' lmhw' bdbew
desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor about what they strongly affirm.

ܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܫܦܝܪ ܗܘ ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܐܟܘܬܗ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܢܬܕܒܪ ܒܗ
bh nthdbr dnmws' 'kwthh 'nsh 'n hw shpyr dnmws' dyn ydeynn
But we know that the law is good, if a person uses it lawfully,

ܟܕ ܝܕܥ ܕܠܟܐܢܐ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܠܐ ܣܝܡ ܐܠܐ ܠܥܘܠܐ ܘܠܡܪܘܕܐ ܘܠܪܫܝܥܐ ܘܠܚܛܝܐ ܘܠܥܢܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܕܟܝܢ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܚܝܢ ܠܐܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܚܝܢ ܠܐܡܗܬܗܘܢ ܘܠܩܛܘܠܐ
wlqTwl' l'mhthhwn dmkhyn wl'ylyn l'bhyhwn dmkhyn wl'ylyn dkyn dl' wl'ylyn wlenth' wlkhTy' wlrshye' wlmrwd' lewl' 'l' sym l' nmws' dlk'n' yde kd
as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

ܘܠܙܢܝܐ ܘܠܫܟܒܝ ܥܡ ܕܟܪܐ ܘܠܓܢܒܝ ܒܢܝ ܚܐܪܐ ܘܠܕܓܠܐ ܘܠܥܒܪܝ ܥܠ ܡܘܡܬܐ ܘܠܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܣܩܘܒܠܐ ܠܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܚܠܝܡܐ
khlym' lywlpn' sqwbl' d'ythwhy wlklmdm mwmth' el wlebry wldgl' kh'r' bny wlgnby dkr' em wlshkby wlzny'
for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;

ܕܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܕܬܫܒܘܚܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܒܪܟܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܬܗܝܡܢܬ
'thhymnth d'n' hw mbrk' d'lh' dthshbwkhthh d'wnglywn
according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

ܘܡܘܕܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܗ ܕܚܝܠܢܝ ܠܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܚܫܒܢܝ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܘܣܡܢܝ ܠܬܫܡܫܬܗ
lthshmshthh wsmny mhymn' dkhshbny mshykh' yshwe lmrn dkhylny lh 'n' wmwd'
And I thank him who enabled me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he counted me faithful, appointing me to service;

ܠܝ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܡܓܕܦܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܪܕܘܦ ܘܡܨܥܪܢ ܐܠܐ ܐܬܚܢܢܬ ܡܛܠ ܕܟܕ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܒܕܬ ܕܠܐ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
hymnwth' dl' ebdth hwyth yde l' dkd mTl 'thkhnnth 'l' wmtsern wrdwp hwyth mgdpn qdym dmn ly
although I was before a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

ܣܓܝܬ ܒܝ ܕܝܢ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܘܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܚܘܒܐ ܕܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' dbyshwe wkhwb' whymnwth' dmrn Tybwthh dyn by sgyth
The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܫܘܝܐ ܗܝ ܠܡܩܒܠܘܬܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܬܐ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܠܡܚܝܘ ܠܚܛܝܐ ܕܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ
'n' 'n' dqdmyhwn lkhTy' lmkhyw lelm' 'th' mshykh' dyshwe lmqblwthh hy wshwy' mlth' hy mhymn'
The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

ܐܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܪܚܡ ܥܠܝ ܕܒܝ ܩܕܡܐ ܢܚܘܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܟܠܗ ܡܓܪܬ ܪܘܚܗ ܠܬܚܘܝܬܐ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܥܬܝܕܝܢ ܕܢܗܝܡܢܘܢ ܒܗ ܠܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ
dlelm lkhy' bh dnhymnwn dethydyn d'ylyn lthkhwyth' rwkhh mgrth klh mshykh' yshwe nkhw' qdm' dby ely rkhm hn' mTl 'l'
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience, for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.

ܠܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܠܗܘ ܕܠܐ ܡܬܚܒܠ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܚܙܐ ܕܗܘܝܘ ܚܕ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܩܪܐ ܘܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ
'myn elmyn lelm wthshbwkhth' 'yqr' 'lh' khd dhwyw mthkhz' wl' mthkhbl dl' lhw delm' dyn lmlk'
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

ܗܢܐ ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܡܓܥܠ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܒܪܝ ܛܝܡܬܐܘܣ ܐܝܟ ܢܒܝܘܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܕܗܘܝ ܥܠܝܟ ܕܬܦܠܘܚ ܒܗܝܢ ܦܠܚܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܫܦܝܪܬܐ
shpyrth' hd' plkhwth' bhyn dthplwkh elyk dhwy qdmyth' nbywth' 'yk Tymth'ws bry lk 'n' mgel pwqdn' hn'
This instruction I commit to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which were given to you before, that by them you may wage the good warfare;

ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܬܐܪܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܠܗܕܐ ܕܚܩܘ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܐܣܬܪܩܘ
'sthrqw hymnwth' mn mnhwn dkhqw dlhd' gyr 'ylyn Tbth' wbth'rth' bhymnwth'
holding faith and a good conscience; which some having thrust away made a shipwreck concerning the faith;
